About Us

Our Sheep

Tilney Shetlands is a prizewinning flock of pedigree Shetland Sheep kept by the Collison family in the Fens on the Norfolk/Lincs/Cambs border.

We have been keeping sheep since 2003 when we bought our first Shetland cross Texel ewes.  We purchased our first pedigree Shetland ewe and lamb at the National Show and Sale in September 2005 and loved them so much that we decided to start breeding them.

You can find us at several major shows during the summer months (see the Show page or Facebook for details).  I also take ewes and lambs to local schools (by arrangement with Defra).

I have been a member of the Shetland Sheep Society since 2007. I am a Shetland Sheep Society Breed Inspector and also judge at shows across the country.

I also keep a small flock of pedigree rare breed Norfolk Horn sheep and  I am Vice Chairman of the Norfolk Horn Breeders Group (NHBG). I am also a breed judge. I am also a member of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST).

Please see the Shetland Sheep pages for more information about the breed and our sheep.  We occasionally have breeding stock and "paddock mowers" available for sale to suitable homes.  We also produce  grass reared lamb suitable for home freezing which is available to order - Please see the lamb sales page for more details.
