Mershelande Labradors

Dogs have been a part of my life since I was born.  My childhood was spent with my parents Border Collies "Shep" and then "Tinker" when Shep died.  My best friend's parents bred Labradors and I fell in love with the breed as a teenager.  My first Labrador was a 21st birthday present.

I am a Kennel Club Assured Breeder of Retrievers (Labrador) and also a member of the United Retriever Club.

Labradors are very popular family pets.  They love being with people so make ideal pets for people who work part time or work from home.  Trained correctly they are excellent dogs for families with children.  They are medium/large dogs and do require regular exercise.

Labradors are also very popular shooting and wildfowling dogs and make excellent field trials dogs.

I currently have two Labradors: "Livvy" who is kept primarily as a pet but also beats and picks up on two local shoots; and Livvy's daughter "Roo" (Mershelande Theia). For more details please see "Livvy" and "Roo's" pages.

For more details about Labradors please vist the Labrador Retriever Club Website or the Kennel Club website.

The Kennel Club also has a list of Kennel Club Assured Breeders of Retrievers (Labrador) and you can also register for the "Find a Puppy Service".
